* Provide chairside assistance during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow for the dentist and comfort for the patient.
* Utilize software for patient documentation and record management.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation review.
* Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients.
* Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that cater to individual patient needs.
* Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices, including medical imaging and general dentistry.
*Qualifications*
* Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
* Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in four-handed dentistry being advantageous.
* Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical coding is essential.
* Proficiency in EMR systems and documentation processes is required.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, particularly in pediatrics.
