Job Description
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a licensed Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control, and support the delivery of high-quality dental care across general dentistry. This role involves working closely with dentists and patients to facilitate efficient procedures while maintaining a comfortable environment. The position requires proficiency in patient care, dental terminology and documentation. A strong understanding of anatomy, infection control protocols and techniques is essential to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, and endodontic treatments.
* Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
* Take accurate dental images, to include scanner and cone beam imaging.
* Manage patient records accurately within dental software program while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
* Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to anatomy knowledge, infection control, and dental coding.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in paperless dental software programs.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
* Ability to operate dental X-ray equipment safely and effectively while maintaining radiation safety standards.
* Familiarity with infection control protocols in a clinical setting.
* Skilled in dental imaging technology.
* Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
