Job Description
Meagher & Geer, a nationally recognized litigation defense and insurance coverage law firm, is hiring a *Litigation Paralegal* for our Bismarck, ND office. This is a dynamic opportunity to join a collaborative team working on complex cases, particularly in medical malpractice defense.
*Responsibilities:*
* Draft legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials
* Request, organize, and summarize medical and non-medical records
* Prepare deposition and trial materials, including subpoenas and exhibits
* Manage case files and deadlines across multiple matters
* Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses, and court personnel
* Support attorneys with trial prep, document production, and motion practice
*Requirements:*
* Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal Certificate (ABA-accredited)
* 6+ years of litigation defense experience (medical malpractice preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems (e.g., iManage)
* Experience with time and billing software (e.g., Aderant)
* Medical background or experience reviewing medical records is a plus
* Ability to meet billable hour requirements and work overtime as needed
