Responsibilities:
  • This position involves the coordination of clinical management of the Cardiology patient across the entire continuum of care.

  • Manages and coordinates the CT surgery and Cardiology clinic and assures thorough patient evaluation and education for Cardiology procedures and surgery.

  • Serves as a liaison for the CT surgery and Cardiology program, driving performance and improvement initiatives.

  • Acts as a clinical resource and a role model for all areas caring for Cardiology patients.

  • Acts as a community liaison on behalf of the Cardiology program and the hospital to promote awareness and education on CT surgery and Cardiology procedures and surgeries.

  • Collaborates in the development and delivery of care for the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus Market

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Current RN license, BLS required
  • 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Cardiology, Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery or Emergency Department.
  • Proven ability to follow protocol-specific care delivery
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Public speaking experience.

  • Interdisciplinary teamwork experience.
