Join Univest Financial Corporation as a Special Assets Officer, where you’ll play a vital role in protecting the financial health of our Small Business portfolio. In this position, you’ll leverage your analytical mindset and credit expertise to evaluate borrower performance, identify emerging risks, and develop strategic action plans that help minimize loss and support the longterm wellbeing of our clients and the Bank.
Evaluate borrower performance, credit underwriting, and loan documentation to develop and recommend action plans for Small Business loans to minimize and prevent loss.
Identify and mitigate potential risks to the Bank; interact with Bank personnel, debtors, and legal counsel.
Review and manage loan files to ensure accuracy and maintenance of records with updated information.
Effectively work with and assist other special assets officers, credit officers, loan officers, portfolio managers, and other staff to facilitate strategies that identify potential losses in the early stages and build action plans to prevent further credit deterioration.
Prepare and present quarterly criticize classified loan review reports.
Recommend appropriate workout plans and accounting changes for accrual status, Financial Difficulty recognition, and charge-offs.
Monitor delinquent Small Business loans. Send default notices and contact loans for payments.
Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in Commercial lending, Credit, or Collections.
A detailed-oriented person with strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
General knowledge of credit evaluation, finance laws and regulations, bank operations, policies, procedures, and products, and of applicable compliance issues.
Basic working knowledge of loan documentation, loan structure, collateral requirements, and loan contracts.
Excellent communication, written and verbal, and customer service skills.
Experience with SBA operating procedures and liquidation activities (preferred, not required).
Proficiency in MS Office products.
Wage Range:
The salary for this position starts at $70,000
