What You’ll Do:

The Mortgage Support Supervisor leads and supports the Mortgage Support team members, ensuring optimal operation, compliance, and continuous improvement of mortgage technology platforms (including Loan Origination Software (LOS) and ancillary products). This role is responsible for team leadership, strategic oversight, process optimization, compliance alignment, and cross-departmental collaboration to deliver a high-quality member and team experience.

  • Compensation: $84,590 - $110,988 per year (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

What's Needed For This Position:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in mortgage lending
  • 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, evaluate, and grow team members while fostering a positive, high-performance culture; effectively handles performance management and models organizational values.
  • Advanced understanding of mortgage lending principles, LOS platform functionality, regulatory requirements (including RESPA, TRID, Reg Z, and HMDA), investor guidelines, and data integrity standards.
  • Strong capability to analyze processes, workflows, and system issues; proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to interpret data, troubleshoot system challenges, evaluate trends, and recommend solutions for optimization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments, present to leadership, interpret policies, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Skilled in managing system releases, implementing process changes, driving continuous improvement, supporting automation initiatives, and balancing multiple priorities in both fast-paced and quiet environments.

Work Schedule:
  • This is a full time, exempt level position. Hours will generally be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00pm.
  • This position is part of Royal's workplace flexibility program and has the ability to be remote after a few months of training and proficiency in the position. When not remote, can work out of our Eau Claire, WI or Arden Hills, MN Operations Offices.
  • Candidates must live within Royal's branch footprint.
 
Training:
  • Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
    • Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
