Qualifications

* Licensed Occupational Therapist (or eligible for Colorado licensure)
* 1 year of experience preferred — however, new graduates with a passion for rural healthcare and a desire to develop and build the OT program are encouraged to apply
* Experience working with hands preferred, but not required
* Passion for rural health and serving diverse patient needs
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Yuma Hospital and Clinics is a nonprofit critical access hospital on the northeastern plains of Colorado. Yuma is about 130 miles slightly north and east of the Denver metro area. We enjoy quieter rural lifestyle, open roads, distant views, and reasonable commute to urban areas. We generally serve an agricultural community and about a 10,000-population service area. Through our hospital, health services include, inpatient care, emergency care, and outpatient ancillary services, two primary care clinics, a specialty medicine clinic including behavioral health, and home health services. We are a very family-oriented organization in a tight-knit community.

Job Duties:

* Providing accurate, timely documentation of treatment
* Participating in multidisciplinary patient care conferences
* Evaluating need for interdisciplinary referral
* Providing instruction and education to patient, family, and caregivers
* Coordinating treatment with other health care personnel
* Implementing the plan of care through direct treatment
* Planning treatment
* Establishing treatment goals
* Evaluating the home environment
* Evaluating a patient's functional status
* Experience with hand therapy preferred

Pay: $39.25 - $50.00 per hour
