Job Description
*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing various hygiene procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental anatomy, medical imaging, and patient management, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team. We are looking for a caring, compassionate individual who excels at co-diagnosing and education.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
* Take medical histories and record vital signs to assess patient health.
* Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatments.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
* Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow.
* Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment
*Skills*
* Proficiency in dental software
* Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and dental coding practices.
* Experience with medical imaging techniques relevant to dental health.
* Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately.
* Familiarity with aseptic techniques in a clinical setting.
* Experience assisting in various dental procedures
* Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients.
We are open to a full time or part time candidate. Our team is a very cohesive and enjoyable group, so we have a very large priority on finding the right person who cares about their patients and their teammates the same way we do! We work Monday through Thursday, utilize Curve for our software, and have 1 hour lunches scheduled everyday. 1 hour recalls, 1-1.5 hours for SRP (at your discretion), 1.5 hour appt for new patients. We implement and refer to the Hygiene Diamonds, so knowledge of this would be a major plus! We also offer a monthly team bonus.
