Sandcreek Dental is a leading provider of dental services to Tillamook, OR and the surrounding areas. We are a growing, dynamic, family-owned company that prides ourselves on delivering quality emergency dental services in a fast-paced, high volume, environment. We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing patients for treatments and maintaining dental records.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare patients for treatments and check them out of the office
* Perform initial treatment with hands-on assistance and take pictures of teeth before treatment is performed
* Provide advice and information about dental health and safety to children and teenagers
* Keep the dental room clean and well stocked for patients
* Prepare instruments, equipment, and materials necessary to perform patient treatment in accordance with regulations and standards
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
* Perform duties in a safe manner in accordance with all health regulations
* Educate patients about proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care (e.g., on boards, stickers)
* Provide excellent post-operative patient care (includes giving out prescriptions, taking lab reports, etc.)
* Assure that patients are well informed about their health status; provide information regarding treatments; answer questions; assist patients with procedures; administer injections; perform dental examinations; provide oral hygiene education; assist dentists as needed (training provided)
* Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with EHR system (training provided)
* Understand the need for communication between various departments within the organization (i.e., marketing, operations, HR) as well as with patients, physicians, suppliers, etc. (training provided)
* Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $53.00 - $65.00 per hour
