Job Description

We are open Monday-Friday 7am-6pm. A typical work week is 4, 10 hour days. However, other options are available. We’re searching for a Physical Therapist to perform evaluations, establish appropriate goals, formulate treatment plans, provide treatment interventions, maintain comprehensive documentation, and assist with coordination of care. You will oversee daily treatments for our patients through direct contact or supervision of a physical therapy assistant. You will work closely with other physical therapists for the implementation of their plan of care and for the continual assessment and progression of the patient through that plan of care. You will be an integral part of the therapy team and the patient experience.

Job responsibilities include:

Conducts physical therapy assessments according to clinic practice and procedure

Gathers and analyzes information obtained from diagnosis, medical history, current status, physician concern, and past response to care

Analyzes information to plan for, select and provide a comprehensive, objective assessment of strength, ROM, etc. that encompasses the components necessary for reporting diagnostic findings and developing clinical recommendations and plan of care related to the specific needs of the patient

Utilizes information gathered through the physical therapy assessment to develop a plan of care that includes frequency, duration, and goal setting

Collaborates with patient and other healthcare providers in setting realistic goals and development of a plan of care that patient focused and outcomes orientated

Continuously assesses and modifies goals and plans of care based on patient status, patient response to care, patient feedback, and patient needs

Provides high quality care that reflects appropriate clinical reasoning, evidence-based practices, and optimizes the patient’s potential for functional gains and improved quality of life

Prepares adequately for sessions, beginning and ending on time and demonstrates good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt as necessary

Utilizes effective communication skills with patients, professionals, and other health care providers

Documents clearly and concisely recording patient status, plan of care, provided interventions, response to care, progress towards goals, patient education, home exercise program implementation and changes, and the need for continued intervention

Documentation is completed professionally, in a time manner, and supports billed charges

Is an active participant of the team in meetings, sharing and listening to others, and suppots the decisions of the team

Facilities growth and skill development of self, team, and community by openly and willingly sharing knowledge, expertise and skills

If you are the right person for this job you will have had previous experience working in a physical therapy clinic or the desire to learn and gain experience within the clinic.

Skill requirements include:

A diploma from an accredited physical therapy program

A Nebraska state license as a physical therapy

Knowledge in basic communication and computer skills

The ability to organize a day based on the patient schedule and the clinic needs

The ability to work with and be part of a team whose primary goal is patient satisfaction
