Physical Therapy Assistant

*Requirements:*

* Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant school.
* Associate of Applied Science degree.
* Current CPR certification Knowledge of general Physical Therapy practice act.
* Capable of communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
* Knowledge of Physical Therapy policy and procedures.

*Description:*

* Provides patient treatments utilizing modalities of exercise, heat, cold, massage, mobilization, hydrotherapy, light therapy, electricity and patient education as established in the plan of care.
* Document the patient progress for review by other rehabilitation team members.
* Instructs patients in proper gait techniques, exercises and use of assistive devices and ADLs.
* Responsible for the personal care of the patient, environment and privacy throughout the treatment.
* Responsible for proper care of orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices.
* Completes billing procedures when necessary.
* Assists in maintaining the Rehab Department and keeping the equipment clean/orderly.
* Participates in hospital in servicing as assigned by the Director.

Pay: $24.97 - $34.47 per hour
