• JOB SUMMARY
  • Carries out treatment, implementation and documentation of client status for home health clients under the direction of the registered physical therapist. Yadkin Valley Home Health proudly serves Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin counties.  
• QUALIFICATIONS

  • The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements of this job:

  • Education and Formal Training: graduate of a two-year college-level program approved by the American PT Association or has two years of appropriate experience as a PTA and has achieved a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service. Licensed as a physical therapy assistant in North Carolina.

    Work Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a physical therapist assistant.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must develop knowledge of current home care emergency policies and procedures, fire, safety, disaster, and infection control policies.
