Our expanded learning and enrichment program is designed specifically for students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade. As part of the Union Hill School District (UHSD) family, our mission is to provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment where your child can grow their independence, learn teamwork, and build academic confidence.

We work to empower children, promote individuality, and develop strong partnerships with families to support their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional achievement. We are excited to help your child develop:

  • Problem-solving and creative thinking strategies to use when working on projects or resolving conflicts with friends.

Our early childhood program is designed specifically for children ages 3 to 5 years old. As a vital part of the Union Hill School District (UHSD) family, our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment where your child can foster a lifelong love of learning, build foundational social-emotional skills, and grow their unique independence.

We work to empower young children, promote individuality, and develop strong partnerships with families to support their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional milestones. We are excited to help your preschooler develop:

DEFINITION Under supervision, care for and assist in the development and instruction of children in the Bearcat Discovery Center/Bearcat Adventures Program. SUPERVISION Bearcat Teacher and/or Associate Teacher WORK YEAR 237 days Temporary position during non-school days QUALIFICATIONS ● California Child Development Assistant Permit ● Has completed pediatric CPR and First aid training through an accredited or approved program and holds a current pediatric CPR and first aid certificate. ● Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. ● Able to lift 50 pounds, move quickly, bend, squat, kneel, and sit on floor. ● Awareness of the operating procedures and policies of the Bearcat Discovery Center ● with the expectation to perform duties with minimal direction or immediate supervision.
