The Harpeth Hall School seeks a part-time Middle School Dance Teacher to teach 8th grade. The ideal candidate is a student-centered, creative dance educator who is enthusiastic about working with middle school girls and is committed to innovative pedagogy and collaboration with colleagues. Excellent writing and communication skills are a requirement of this role. Experience teaching middle school-aged dance students is preferred, as is curriculum development. Candidates with past experience in school settings will be given priority. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. The Harpeth Hall School seeks a student-centered, creative dance educator who is enthusiastic about working with young dancers of all ability levels and is committed to innovative pedagogy and choreography as a part of our after school dance company program. This non-exempt, stipended position reports to the Artistic Director of Dance. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30-6:30 p.m. (days and hours dependent on classes taught) Responsibilities: Lead rehearsals for students in grades 5–12 in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, and/or hip hop. Create and teach engaging, age-appropriate choreography that develops students' technical, artistic, and creative skills.
