Lansdowne Friends School

Lansdowne Friends School is a small, diverse independent elementary day school serving students from ages PK through 6th grade, located in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.  The position is quarter-time, follows the academic calendar, and reports to the Head of School.  The selected candidate will have choice in when the teaching occurs (e.g., all on one day, two days, etc.). The position includes the following tasks: Curate and manage the collection : select, catalog, and weed books and materials that reflect diverse voices, ages, and reading levels appropriate for pre-K through 6th grade, with attention to representation and inclusion consistent with Quaker values. Teach weekly library classes : deliver developmentally appropriate lessons in literature appreciation, research skills, and information literacy for pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade, one 40-minute section per week (seven periods total per week).
