Burbank Housing

Burbank Housing is a local nonprofit dedicated to building quality affordable housing in the North Bay. We create vibrant local communities that are carefully designed, professionally managed, and sustainable both financially and environmentally, to foster opportunities for people with limited-income of all ages, backgrounds and special needs.

Burbank Housing has helped shape Sonoma County. Born out of local government, we formed as a separate nonprofit with a mission to serve as many people in the North Bay as possible. We’ve built over 3,200 affordable rental units in over 70 properties, as well as building and selling over 900 affordable homes. We’ve created vibrant local communities that are viable and sustainable for their residents. But while we enjoy a celebrated history, we’re focused on the future. There’s much more work to do.

Burbank Housing’s Vida Nueva is a 24-unit property located in Rohnert Park, CA. Of the 24 units, 16-units are funded through No Place Like Home and will house the most vulnerable population(s); homeless or at-risk of homelessness, mentally ill, HIV/AIDS, or chronic substance abuse, and special needs, not homeless, single parents, mentally ill, HI/AIDS, or chronic substance abuse.  Burbank Housing has partnered with COTS to provide any services needed to these residents.  The remaining 7 units are available for qualified individuals from our general population. While as an organization we have extensive experience serving vulnerable individuals, we recognize that formerly homeless populations like those living at Vida Nueva present with a higher level of vulnerability and trauma acuity. Summary: The Site Manager of Vinecrest Apartments, HUD project, is responsible for oversight of the daily operations of this apartment complex.  The day-to-day operation of this project is full-time.
