General Purpose The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is responsible for the day-to-day activities in the rehabilitation department of an assigned facility or facilities. This includes but is not limited to the delivery of direct and indirect services to in-patients and out-patients, supervision of all therapy personnel, interviewing and recommending new hires, and training of all therapy personnel. The DOR is responsible for the implementation of new programs to meet the needs of the facility and the residents. The DOR is delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out all assigned duties to provide both clinical and operational oversight to the delivery of rehabilitative services. This position ensures that all areas of the facility are free of obstacles, odors, and debris, contributing to the overall health and comfort of those in our care. Essential Duties Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors. Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris. Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.
