Job Description Social Worker I WSFSSH MISSION STATEMENT The mission of WSFSSH is to provide safe, affordable, senior housing that integrates compassionate property management with supportive services to enhance the independence and dignity of each resident. JOB SUMMARY  The Social Worker I is expected to work autonomously while developing 1:1 relationships with the residents.  This relationship will enable the Social Worker I to provide a comprehensive range of social work services to the residents and enable the residents to establish and maintain safe and independent lifestyles in the community.    WSFSSH strongly supports M.S.W. level social workers  obtaining their licensing.  We offer study groups for staff who are preparing to take their exam. Our Story The West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is a community‐based organization whose mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with supportive services within a residential setting which enhances the independence and dignity of each person. WSFSSH develops, manages, and provides housing for low‐ income older persons, many of whom live with mental illness and/or have experienced homelessness. Position Description The Program Aide provides hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living to older adults and/or residents with disabilities living in a nonprofit senior/supportive housing setting. The Program Aide supports residents’ safety, dignity, independence, and comfort through person-centered care, clear communication, and reliable service delivery.
