Job Description: The essential functions for the Front Office Specialist include but are not limited to the following: Professionally greets and welcomes patients and their family/friends. Schedules appointments for patients in an efficient and timely manner. Answers, screens, and directs all incoming calls to appropriate personnel relaying messages between patients and clinical staff. Checks patients in for their appointments and out after examinations. Records patient cancellations and missed appointments. Collects copays and other balances on patient accounts Scans in variety of forms and daily correspondence. Maintains accurate records and patient charts Calls patients for courtesy reminders of appointments Provides general administrative support.
