Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Specialist for the UCSF Adult Cardiac Cath Lab requires expertise in the evidence-based nursing care of this specialty in Cardiology. The Nurse Specialist is a nurse who, as a result of advanced education and in-depth clinical knowledge, possess the skills necessary to provide expert comprehensive care coordination for this clinically complex patient population. The nurse specialist is a clinical nurse leader and facilitates collaboration for complex patient care, with an emphasis on education, nursing assessment and processes to address the needs of all of the cardiovascular and transplant patients who come through the cath lab for procedures.
