Field Nurse Practitioner HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Field Nurse Practitioner to fill an opening in Tacoma, Washington. Daily Responsibilities for Field Nurse Practitioner: These NPs do about 70% of what ERs can do, 100% of what urgent care can do, but they’re doing it in the home setting. They partner with an EMT or MA for visits, and they make use of a company car. If partner calls out or is otherwise unavailable, they can still go out on visits. Triage nurses work remotely & talk w/ patients before scheduling them for appt with NP, so the visits are “qualified.” Typical conditions they will encounter: Covid, strep, flu, Congestive Heart Failure, diabetes. Most patients typically have 3-4 comorbidities that we may not hear about on the triage call, so NP needs to good w/ complex cases. There is more f/u involved with this setting than there would be in the ER in that the NPs may be doing things like sending the case to a PCP for care plan updates. Will do some...
