About the Role The primary purpose of the Environmental Services Worker position is to perform various tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment at University Hospital.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do Keeps patient and non-patient areas of the facility clean, safe, and orderly condition. Cleans hospital patient rooms, baths, showers, laboratories, offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other areas as assigned using approved cleaners and hospital approved germicide. Strips linen from beds, washes beds and mattresses using hospital approved germicide, remakes beds after discharge. Dusts furniture and equipment, empties waste baskets, trash, recycling and medical waste containers, washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills, polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
