The Behavioral Health Counselor is responsible for counseling individuals, groups or families to diagnose and treat mental health disorders. The responsibilities also include referring clients to specialists, monitoring progress during treatment and creating a comfortable environment where clients can be treated. This BH professional will treat clients with emotional, behavioral and mental disorders. They may work in conjunction with psychologists and psychiatrists, and refer patients to these specialists as they see fit.
