Responsibilities Use product and testing expertise to collaborate with internal and external customers to determine root causes in product development and quality problems; Respond to customers’ feedback on technical problems and improve product value as well as customer satisfaction; Utilize knowledge of analytical chemistry to develop and validate fit for purpose methods to support new product introduction processes; Solve customers’ quality complaints and provide solutions to their technical issues; Participate in technology exchanges internally and externally with customers and production support teams both in person and virtually; Continuous training on the various analytical techniques and methods. Qualifications BS or MS in Chemistry with experience working in a chemical / gas manufacturing or related industry; Advanced knowledge and hands on practical experience with the operation and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation spanning (HPLC, IC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, wet chemistry techniques); Experience with applicable quality tools such as pareto, FMEA’s, SPC/SQC, histograms, trend analysis, process mapping, design of experiments, cause and effect diagrams, 8D problem solving methodology; Experience in the chemical analysis of complex matrices and air and moisture sensitive material preferred; Knowledge of proper safe handling/disposal of chemicals and ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace; Ability to travel 10%, some international as needed.
