Be a part of a team and organization that is pushing the boundaries of chemical manufacturing and analytical chemistry! Entegris is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Analytical Chemist with general knowledge of analytical chemistry and techniques applied to the characterization of complex mixtures. This knowledge is required to develop analytical methods, provide support to the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality groups via QC analysis. This opportunity allows the right person to expand their technical skill set and participate on a dynamic team in a fast-paced, growing organization. The role, based in Burnet, TX , supports our ultra-pure Deposition Precursor and Surface Preparation chemical manufacturing activities. The schedule is Tuesday - Friday 3:00 pm - Midnight, Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Responsibilities Conducts analysis as defined by existing work instructions on raw materials and finished goods to ensure QC; Drives for continuous improvement of existing testing methods; Performs material characterizations using analytical instruments; Uses proper controls for analytical instrumentation, validates and verifies data and takes corrective action when necessary; Maintains instrumentation and performs procedures for product testing purposes; Tests and analyzes R&D samples, manufactured materials, and in-process samples when needed; Works on cross-functional teams as analytical subject matter expert. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and 1 -2 years of general lab instrument operations and maintenance experience with HPLC, IC, GC, ICP-MS, ICP-AES (ICP-MS and ICP-AES highly desirable); Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office; LIMS experience preferred; Knowledge of proper safe handling/disposal of chemicals and ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace; Mandarin or Korean language skills is a plus; Strong independent operation skills and ability to complete lab work safely. Responsibilities Use product and testing expertise to collaborate with internal and external customers to determine root causes in product development and quality problems; Respond to customers’ feedback on technical problems and improve product value as well as customer satisfaction; Utilize knowledge of analytical chemistry to develop and validate fit for purpose methods to support new product introduction processes; Solve customers’ quality complaints and provide solutions to their technical issues; Participate in technology exchanges internally and externally with customers and production support teams both in person and virtually; Continuous training on the various analytical techniques and methods.
