Description: This position is responsible in leading day-to-day human resource management of the assigned location(s). Areas of primary focus are team member relations, leadership development, policy administration and compliance, and talent management. This position also plays a key role in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, safety, and communications including identifying the best practices. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as an active member of the local management team(s) providing leadership in the areas of Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations. Provide coaching to managers as needed. Continually improve the effectiveness of HR programs by developing strategies to improve team member satisfaction and management-team member relations. Lead and deploy HR strategic initiatives across the business consistent with the Companys strategic plan. Assist managers with the performance review process: including administration of the review, to development of goals & objectives. Responsible for the recruitment and selection of exempt and non-exempt positions for assigned location(s). This includes temporary and contract team members. Investigate team member concerns in an objective manner and provide recommendations for resolution. Oversee all benefits related activity including enrollment, terminations, 401K, STD, LTD, annual open enrollment etc. Assist with job descriptions and conduct salary surveys for internal and external equity comparisons. Analyze workforce trends, data, and statistics and provide professional guidance to facility management based on this information. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Train functional managers on new policies or procedures. Collaborate with other HR team members across the business to identify best practices. Assist in the design and implementation of human resource development programs, ensuring that skills and competencies of team members meet requirements for current operation and future goals. Participate in the Safety Committee and play an active role in the roll out of safety policies and training programs. Provide support in the areas of Facility Safety initiatives and OSHA compliance and Workers Comp Management. Other duties as assigned. .Requirements: BS/BA in Business with Human Resources concentration and 7-10 years HR Generalist experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Supervisory experience which includes successful mentoring and coaching. Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding employment practices. Ability to multi-task, deal with team members with diverse background and good problem-solving skills. Superior presentation and analytical skills, plus demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously. High level of customer focus both internally and external. Ability to interface with individuals with diverse backgrounds at varying levels of the organization. Ability to work flexible schedule. Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to conduct professional presentations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and develop spreadsheets with intermediate to advanced formulas and logic functions Intermediate to advanced knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Access.
