Director FP&A Finance Defense & Space

This position is part of the $7.5B Defense and Space vertical within Aerospace, driving support to our varied and global defense and space customers.

This role provides leadership to a team responsible for supporting all elements of financial planning and analysis for Defense and Space vertical. Position reports to the Defense & Space Vice President, CFO. The role is integral member of the Defense and Space Leadership team with the ability to make the complex simple.


Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
  • Lead the development of annual operating plans, strategic financial plans and quarterly forecasts for the business.
  • Provide financial analysis to senior leadership on key business components to enable performance evaluation and decision making.
  • Assist in development of weekly, monthly and quarterly financial presentations to senior management.
  • Understand key risks and opportunities for sales, income and cash at the business level.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the FP&A and broader finance organization to allow faster response and a deeper level of analysis. Make an impact on management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Lead revenue chain management efforts designed to improve demand generation and cash collection.
  • Provide financial leadership and support to program management, engineering, including the Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) process and integrated supply chain to ensure linkage between business unit and functional groups.
  • Liaison with the Corporate FP&A and Investor Relations teams on matters related to Defense & Space vertical and support investor specific requests

  • Responsible for staff development, recruitment and retention, training, evaluation, mentoring and coaching.



Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in progressively responsible or more challenging finance or accounting roles
