Survey Crew Chief

We are seeking a Crew Chief to join our Land Surveying Practice based in our Glastonbury, CT office.

Duties will include:

• Supervise the survey crew’s activities and use of equipment. Makes timely requests for equipment and other survey needs.
• Coordinate with the field staff and office staff on project needs.
• Provide design direction and guidance to technicians.
• Assist Instrument Operators and Survey Technicians with tasks and responsibilities
• Provide field and construction observation support, as necessary.
• Provide CAD, GIS, or other computer software support and analysis.
• Collect and record electronic and written field notes.
• Perform supporting calculations and provides the necessary research and supporting documentation to support the calculations.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, studies and other documentation.
• Assist with preparation of plans and specifications.

• 5-10+ years of relevant land surveying experience.
• GPS, Data collector, Total Station experience is required.
• CAD experience required, MicroStation experience preferred.

Estimated Pay Range: $30-40/hour.

Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
