Finance Manager

Job Description

The Finance Manager supports the VP of Finance by leading key financial functions including forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. This role is also responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, developing financial dashboards and reports, and streamlining compliance and reporting tasks. The Finance Manager partners cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, drive data-informed decisions, and support ongoing operational and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and management of key financial reports to support business decisions
  • Supervises and mentors a small team of two Financial Analysts
  • Analyzes historical, current, and projected financial and operational data
  • Prepares and presents monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for senior leadership
  • Monitor and explain variances in key performance indicators (KPIs) against forecasts and plans.
  • Distributes monthly flash reports on revenue and EBITDA to provide early performance insights
  • Collaborates with department managers to monitor labor and non-labor cost trends
  • Partners with Accounting to investigate and explain financial variances
  • Responds to ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests
  • Develops new methods to streamline the completion of compliance-related tasks
  • Drives the usage and build-out of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Designs and implements dashboards and reporting packages using data from SAP, Adaptive Insights, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in FP&A
  • Preferred industry experience in SaaS or technology
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling; experience with Macros and Queries is a plus
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting tools such as Adaptive Insights or NetSuite is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with financial planning and reporting systems
