Provide administrative support, organization, and the facilitation of the efficient and effective communication for various programs and initiatives throughout the department and university.

  • Provides administrative support in the coordination/preparation of strategic plans in support of the department's programs or services.
  • Coordinates and/or administers activities associated with employee and student programs, projects, services and/or functions.
  • Coordinates the administration of posting waivers, coordinating approvals and record keeping, and serving as the point of contact.
  • Monitors department email account, fielding initial inquiries, responding or forwarding as appropriate.
  • Support department event planning committees and coordinates the partnerships with other units for events/programs aligned with university's strategic goals.
  • Coordinates the development, scheduling and implementation of new and ongoing employee and student programs or services. Creates, updates and maintains SOPs.
  • Coordinates the administration of department scholarships, updating and maintaining records regarding awards, awardees and financial commitments.
  • Performs administrative duties supporting instruction and training, including curriculum development, researching, and recommending new programs or revisions to existing programs as necessary.
  • Monitors accounts/expenditures, reconciles invoices and payments to ensure constituents are paid in a timely manner, advises management on budgetary needs and discrepancies.
  • Monitors the status of projects, summarizes and analyzes program data, develops reports, and oversees the smooth operations of all department program/event commitments.
  • Coordinates/oversees event planning and logistics in alignment with the department's communications strategy, education objectives, and/or institutional goals.
  • Provides administrative and calendaring support to departmental leadership.
  • Coordinate office schedules, managing the flow of in-person and remote work to ensure adequate office coverage as is feasible. Coordinates the department representation at all pertinent university events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education and/or programming.
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of events.
