The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a full-time Administrative Faculty position as a Coordinator for the 4-H After School Program for Clark County Extension in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Coordinator will develop, implement, manage and coordinate processes, services and activities that help students improve in academics, attendance, behavior, promotion rates and graduation rates. The primary responsibilities of the 4-H Afterschool Program Coordinator are to determine and implement before and after school academic and enrichment programs and oversee the program operations at the school site(s). Areas of focus will include staff recruitment, retention and development, collaboration with external organizations, compliance, evaluation and fiscal management for the program. The incumbent will create, implement and oversee 4-H positive youth development programs that engage students to stay after school. Examples may include tutoring, drop-in center, podcasting, public speaking, ACT prep, skateboarding, jewelry making, STEM, music, etc. The incumbent will supervise other faculty and staff also working in the program.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR a Master’s degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
Related Experience: in the field of volunteer management, working with a diverse group of students, youth program management; education, evaluation, program development, teaching, curriculum development, or youth program management or related field
Certification and Licensure
Nevada Driver’s License within 30 days of employment
