Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Project Architect to join our growing team. This is a challenging yet exciting opportunity where you will be responsible to produce high-quality construction documents. This includes drawings and appropriate specifications for each project. With your thorough understanding of the budget constraints, visual, functional, and technical design parameters of the client, you will provide in-depth building systems reflective of their objectives and goals.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide comprehensive building systems within the established design parameters, construction budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage budgets and schedules and monitor contract adherence.
  • Direct, monitor, and coordinate with all disciplines and consultants the design development, schedule of drawing of contract documents, and correct building systems on all phases of the project up to completion.
  • Communicate with clients, consultants, and other disciplines as necessary.
  • Lead the team in designing a building based on applicable codes and standards.
  • Mentor and supervise architectural interns and new architectural staff.
  • Conduct “Redicheck” review of contract documents before issuance to the owner.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or an equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of facilities design experience preferably in AIA Licensure and K-12 educational facility and commercial building design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit and can carry projects through SD, DD, CD, and CA.
  • Proven analytical, innovative thinking, complex problem solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Competent knowledge in civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, construction documents and specifications, building construction for a variety of building types, cost
  • Estimating, and building codes.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
