Department: Member Services

Position Reports To: Member Services Manager

General Purpose:

As the front line of communication, this part-time, entry-level positions primary responsibility is to provide high-quality service to Brewers Association members and customers. This position is also responsible for processing all memberships and orders with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. This position also provides support to the Warehouse Manager as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Supervise Member Service Specialists and daily department activates.
  • Provide training and support for Member Services Specialists.
  • Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.
  • Manage the departments response to all email, phone, chat and walk-in inquiries.
  • Oversee updates and new product development for BA online stores.
  • Manage all departmental reporting, including daily and monthly needs.
  • Oversee updates and new product development for BA online stores.
  • Serve as a part of the frontline response team to all outside phone, chat and email inquiries.
  • Ensure all AHA and BA memberships are processed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Member Services team to ensure accurate execution of membership renewals and member card mailings.
  • Oversee member packet mailings.
  • Manage shipment of replacement copies of membership cards and publications i.e. Zymurgy & The New Brewer magazines.
  • Self-educate on all association programs and events.
  • Support Office Manager with office coverage and serve as first point of contact for office visitors.
  • Support Office Manager with main office entrance opening and closing each day as needed.

  • Ability to promote events, publications, services and announcements to the media, members, industry representatives and the general public.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and projects to achieve ongoing goals in multiple areas.
  • Strong organization skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong project and operations management skills.
  • Ability to organize and distribute work, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to focus on one task for several consecutive hours.
  • Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability work independently

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be +18

Travel Required:

  • Great American Beer Festival in Denver
  • Additional travel to Brewers Association events or professional development ass assigned.
