The Manor is a comprehensive addiction and co-occurring disorder treatment center with a clinical model focused on providing counseling and treatment addressing all aspects of a clients physical and psychological well-being. Clients receive a minimum of five individual sessions per week in addition to group therapy and medical treatment for substance use disorders.
The Associate Therapist works under a Primary Therapist on client cases, providing individual therapy to assigned clients as well as conducting group therapy for all clients in the program. The Associate Therapist position is considered a developmental role and candidates should expect to be in phase a developing the ability to treat co-occurring issues, including complex trauma, in persons struggling with substance use disorders. As trauma is a focus of the treatment model, Associate Therapists are expected to continually develop in their ability to perform evidence-based trauma treatment modalities within their role. The Associate Therapist performs some case management duties including managing a clients chart, discharge planning, client family interactions and treatment planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide individual and family therapy to assigned caseload of clients
Preparing treatment plans, bio-psychosocial assessments, histories, correspondence, making reports and keeping records per regulations.
Providing assessment and evaluations based on appropriate criteria.
Provides regular group sessions.
Masters degree in counseling or social work. Individual must be dually credentialed as both a masters level counselor (LPC-IT, APSW, LMFT-IT), and have a minimum of a SAC-IT certification for the treatment of substance abuse.
Willingness to work in a team based residential treatment program.
Able to work under the supervision of a Primary Therapist in conducting individual, family and group therapy sessions.
If in personal recovery, a minimum of 5 years clean and sober.
