Job Description

Manages and executes against all assigned category, product and project parameters- category and product management, planning, budgeting, coordination and follow-up; Manages and executes all deliverables associated with a product line(s)- market analysis and sizing, unit and financial forecast, packaging and support. Assumes project coordination and execution across all organizational functions.

Key Performance Areas (Essential Functions of the Position)

Product Management

  • Analytics- Market and competitive analysis, market sizing and forecasting and financial impact
  • Develops product plan and marketing strategy based on market and consumer environment including packaging and support materials and tools including web, promotional plan
  • Presents plan for approval with GM Marketing or Marketing Manager followed by the executive team
  • Works across the organization throughout execution
  • Partners with Sales Management to execute the sales plan and meet/exceed forecast and financial deliverables
  • Assesses progress and adjust plan and programming as needed, analyzes Marketing ROI across programming (consumer and trade), Recaps budget spending and adjusts as needed
  • Manages vendor relations in product category- Agencies (web, creative, nutritionist, packaging, etc.)

Program Management

  • Develops project parameters and assigns responsible parties; Sets up tracking and follow-up plans
  • Develops and maintains the project deliverable timelines and budget
  • Communicates on a consistent basis including progress, issues/resolution path, budget
  • Recommends enhancements to overall project and management throughout and at completion
