The Accounting Associate is responsible for hourly payroll processing as well as Accounts Receivable billing and collection.


  • Payroll
    • Works closely with managers to ensure all employees’ records are received in a timely manner
    • Classify hours in accordance with rules and regulations
    • Processing garnishments, child support and tax related reports
    • Weekly payroll reports
    • Interaction with employees on pay related information
    • Verifying data of new hires
    • Other payroll activities as directed
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Full responsibility over all Accounts Receivable functions including:
      • Invoicing
      • Timely collections
      • Cash application
      • Debit and credit memos
      • Credit approval
      • Monthly and quarterly reconciliations
      • Official liaison with customers to resolve issues in a timely manner
      • Maintain accounts receivable ledger and provide outstanding balance statements to customers
      • Must be able to interact with internal departments (Contracts and Bid Development)
  • Intercompany Transactions
    • Record and process intercompany transactions on a monthly basis
  • Other
    • Assist with month-end close
    • Assist with quarterly inventory
    • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.


  • College degree in related field
  • 2-5 years previous payroll or accounts receivable experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic PC knowledge with understanding of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Self-starter willing to take the lead on various projects
  • Ability to operate a Ten-key machine with accuracy and speed
  • Assertive and productive personality to deal with a customer’s Accounts Payable department on payment issues
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively over the phone
