The IT Client Services Systems Administrator is responsible for the operation and management of the client and server computers and networks deployed by the College of Business. This position will design and coordinate infrastructure hardware and software used to support the day-to-day operations of faculty, staff and students at the College of Business.
This position will be responsible for keeping abreast of technology trends, research of architecture issues, and frequent communication with the IT Client Services Manager and related stakeholders.
The IT Client Services Systems Administrator fulfills the service transition and operation roles within the organization, actively managing availability, capacity, and continuity. This is done to ensure that value is delivered to the college through prioritized business needs consistent with the College of Business strategic plan.
This position will be responsible for managing budgets, in coordination with the IT Client Services manager, through forecasting projects and recurring expenses to meet budgetary objectives within $130K infrastructure operating budget and Student Tech Fee STAC budget up to $500K.
The IT Client Services Systems Administrator will maintain a close working relationship with College of Business team members and various vendors as well as our partners across campus, including Academic Computing Networking Services (ACNS), the main service provider for the college.

Required Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
• Experience working with datacenter operation and management suites, preferably including deploying, monitoring, and managing Microsoft operating systems, applications, and services
• Experience managing Microsoft Azure or similar cloud services
• 5 years of relevant work experience managing servers and desktops in a 200+ user environment
Preferred Job Qualifications
•Experience deploying and managing Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10
•Experience deploying and managing applications using Microsoft System Center or MDT
•Experience managing systems with PowerShell cmdlets and scripts
•Experience deploying and managing Microsoft SQL Server
•Experience managing highly available Remote Desktop Services
•Experience deploying and supporting Apple hardware and macOS
•Experience managing multi-site infrastructure, both remote and on-premises, running Microsoft Hyper-V or VMWare ESXi/vSphere
•Experience with SAN and JBOD storage solutions
•Experience managing layer 2/3 network switches, routers, and firewalls such as HPE FlexFabric,ProCurve and pfSense
•Experience tuning infrastructure to identify performance bottlenecks and errors at different levels of the hardware, software and network configuration
•Experience deploying and managing disaster recovery and backup solutions such as Veeam
•Certification in ITIL Foundations and experience implementing and adhering to ITIL best practices
•Experience working in an environment that emphasizes key performance indicators, metrics and change management
•Ability to measure and report on KPIs and service levels for client and infrastructure services
•Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects, tasks and service requests
•Ability to clearly document and diagram configurations and processes
•Strong written and verbal English communication skills
