As a Electronic Technician and customer support specialist you will have the opportunity to work in a team environment to maximize productivity by troubleshooting PCBs, reading schematics, building custom parts for our products, assembling boards, troubleshooting customer inquiries, testing equipment, assisting in installations, supporting our clients and completing special projects as assigned. What You Will Accomplish Here…

This is a fast-paced, dynamic position and an ideal fit for someone who thrives on wearing many hats to troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software components in order to optimize our productivity. You will play a key part of the team in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting custom test equipment for the gambling industry. Also, you will have an opportunity to speak directly to our clients by providing demos, assisting with onboarding, and utilizing problem-solving skills to troubleshoot client’s questions.

 

This position will focus on the following: 

 

Hardware Maintenance and Assembly

  • Builds customs parts for our products.
  • Troubleshoots issues and makes repairs on PCBs
  • Assembly of custom cable sets
  • Testing of custom software applications
  • Interfaces with vendors to order components, handle returns, and request new builds, as needed.
  • Handles packaging and shipping to clients.
  • Test connections with systems.
  • Maintain and organize stock of units.

 

Customer Support

  • Provide demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Assists with onboarding new clients, by showing them how to utilize Kobetron products.
  • Assists with customer inquiries, including troubleshooting issues and providing step by step instructions.
  • Address product returns and warranty repairs.
  • Assist with software component questions


Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Two-year degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to assemble small components.
  • Ability to solder wires and components. 
  • Basic understanding of reading electronic schematics
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
