Erie County Medical Center Corp. is the Buffalo, N.Y. region’s only Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, a 600-bed full-service hospital serving eight counties of Western New York.
The hospital, a public benefit corporation, also operates the state’s second-largest behavioral health system and the region’s largest transplant program. It is the only stand-alone emergency psychiatric center and handles the most ER mental health emergencies.
