Embarc’s mission is to cultivate post-secondary success by inspiring students to build their social capital, stretch the boundaries of their neighborhood, alter their world view, and seize opportunities in school and life. Embarc programming combines a robust 3-year curriculum with immersive, learning experiences that connect students to multiple sectors of the Chicago community to drive academic skills, close the opportunity gap, and help them achieve their postsecondary goals.
Since its founding in 2010, Embarc has served more than 5,000 students and is currently working in nearly 20% of Chicago’s open enrollment public high schools. We’re proud that Embarc students achieved a 94% high school graduation rate and 90% overall postsecondary success through enrolling in college or career paths. Embarc’s impact is projected to double in the next four years.
Embarc is committed to the principles of equal employment and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
