Summary: Summary: Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional theater actors and stage managers in the United States, is hiring an IT Support Specialist to work in our IT department. Actors’ Equity is a national union affiliated with the AFL-CIO, with 51,000 members – and growing. The IT Support Specialist provides day to day IT support for Actors' Equity Association and contributes to the success and direction of the National IT Team that collectively administers and supports the IT operations of AEA. Responsibilities: Administer Microsoft Windows-based workstations including hardware, software and peripheral component installation and maintenance. Manage the National Help Desk, assign incoming Help Requests to appropriate team-member, and track resolution of incoming Help Requests. Provide telephone, in-person and remote support to end-users in a timely and courteous manner. Maintain and troubleshoot Shoretel IP Office phone system. Ensure software patches and updates are tested and applied in a timely manner. Coordinate with outside vendors to resolve issues and perform installations and repairs Administer backup system. User administration in Active Directory and Office 365 environment Assist in selecting and purchasing hardware, software and peripheral components. Maintain information confidentially and securely. Provide updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users. Look for ways to improve and promote security, efficiency, and quality. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Degree or certification in related field or 1-2 years service desk experience. Knowledge of Windows desktop and server products Familiarity with enterprise phone systems Strong troubleshooting skills. Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking. Able to create and manage user accounts using Active Directory. Ability to quickly adapt and switch from one task to another. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical people. Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software. Ability to learn and support new systems and applications and to adapt to changes in the work environment. Desire to work in a team environment. Physical Requirements: Frequently required to sit, stand, bend and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
