Temporary - Time LimitedJOB SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, this position will provide a variety of operational tool-specific, compliance, and documentation functions for the Office of Information Security and Privacy (OISP), specific to a regulated healthcare environment. Performs other duties as assigned.JOB DUTIES
35% - Essential - Security Operations:
Proven ability to create alerts and configure monitoring related to possible security incidents, primarily within a SIEM. Must be able to triage alerts and respond accordingly.
25% - Essential - Configuration of Security Tools:
Experienced in utilizing security tools (to include: IDS, SIEM, firewall appliances, vulnerability scanners, net flow collectors, etc) to enhance overall security posture of complex environments. Ability to become an expert on existing tools in order to tune, set baselines and benchmarks, etc for maximum value. Must be a person who sees tasks through to the end.
20% - Essential - Risk Assessments:
Aid in security related risk assessments and audits, both internally and externally. Understanding of HIPAA, MARS-E, and/or NIST SP 800-53 preferred.
15% - Essential - Security Documentation:
Must posess strong written communication skills and be able to contribute towards the overall effort of OISP in centralizing security policies, procedures, SOPs, guidelines, and standards.
5% - Essential - On-Call Support:
Provides after hour and on call support for all aspects of the Office of Information Security and Privacy.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education - Bachelor's Degree - Information Technology or an Associate's Degree and two extra years experience.
Work Experience - 2+ years of experience working in information technology or related field, with one year focused on information security.RESPONSIBILITIES
