A Research Associate II works independently in the day to day laboratory operation, collection and review of data for the Analytical Biology Laboratory. Support the activities of various service groups including ligand binding, flow cytometry, molecular biology and LCMS/MS, as needed. Participates in the creation of study worksheets, SOP's and other controlled documents as assigned. Provides support for general laboratory equipment and maintenance as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory Maintenance (cleaning, ordering supplies, equipment PM, etc.)
  • Collect and organize laboratory data according to the appropriate oversight document (ex Protocol, Analytical Study Plan, SOPs)
  • Create and/or revise SOP and SOP forms
  • Work independently in study-related tasks
  • Perform quality control review of laboratory and study records
  • Assist with method development activities



  • Associates degree in scientific discipline plus a minimum of 6 months relevant laboratory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Intermediate computer and computer software skills with Microsoft products including Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, software manuals, study documents, and
  • procedure manuals.
    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Preferred Skills: Familiarity with qPCR, Western blotting, Cell culture techniques, ligand binding assays, and general laboratory tasks
