Senior Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant:

Information about the OCM position:

  • The County is moving from a 20 year old legacy ERP solution to a new cloud based solution by Tyler Technologies
  • The project will begin in April 2019 and the OCM position is ready to be filled immediately
  • The person will work in New Castle, Delaware
  • The standard hours for 37.5 per week schedule
  • The person is not required to be Prosci certified but it is a bonus
  • The County plans to install the Fiscal portion of the solution by June of 2021 and the HR portion of the solution by June 2022
  • There are approximately 200 users that will use the new solution, most of the users are in one location but some are in other locations within New Castle County
  • This will be the first large project that most of the resources in the County have worked on
  • Most of the impacted County resource seem excited but there will be some that are resistant to change, most just will not understand what they need to do
  • The biggest risk to the project are the availability of the County resources
  • The OCM manager will be in charge of communications to all levels of the Counties resources, they will be expected to create and execute a communication plan
  • The OCM manager will need to identify the areas that will be impacted by the project and help those resource to participate on the project
  • The OCM manager should understand the concepts of the iterative project management process
  • The OCM manager will be responsible for helping build the training program with another resource
  • In summary, the biggest roles for OCM are communications, training and resource adaption

  • Experience on a project that involved replacing a legacy solution
  • Worked with and helped people that were resistant to change
  • Created communication plans, newsletters and documents
  • Created a document that identified the changes to a particular business area caused by a project
  • Performed tasks to help people adapt to a new solution
  • Created a training plan
