Reporting to the Vice President of Industrial Sales, the Outside Sales Manager, Central Region, is responsible for managing all sales related activities and customer relationships within assigned geography. It is expected that the sales manager will develop an excellent relationship with all current and prospective accounts in the assigned territory. In addition the position will be responsible for developing & implementing strategies to prospect for additional opportunities of significant volume within the assigned territory. The Central territory includes the following states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Kansas.

We are seeking a results driven individual to join our team and manage all outside safety product sales activities for our Industrial Division. It is critical that this individual work closely with inside sales, product management and marketing. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual who is able to work independently, work with multiple projects and excel in a results oriented environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Meet and exceed defined sales growth requirement and specific targeted sales category expectations on an ongoing basis
  • Prospect top customers not doing business with Radians
  • Prepare monthly sales reports showing sales activities, sales volume, and strategic plans outlining expanded areas of opportunity
  • Develop and implement strategies with inside sales to insure all accounts are called on in regular intervals
  • Maintain up to date customer records and detailed competitor information within your assigned accounts in the P21 computer system
  • Provide Customers with up to date information on a timely basis
  • Report critical customer and competitive information discovered in the field back to Sales Manager
  • Travel 65 75%
  • Trade Show Management and attendance as required

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business required
  • 10+ years of experience in progressive Outside Sales
  • Must have prior Safety Products Sales experience
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and maintain positive relationships with customers within the Central Region.
  • The ability to sell product but offer creative solutions and results
  • Heavy Travel within territory required (65 75%). Also, travel as needed for trade shows and customer events
