Postdoctoral Research Associate or Associate Professional SpecialistA postdoctoral research associate position and/or associate professional specialist position is available at Princeton University in the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment within Professor Meggers' group. The individual will to conduct research on simulation and evaluation of geothermal well geometry and heat transfer. The project will involve analysis of a novel heat storage system in collaboration with ORNL and, translation from thermal storage to electricity demand management.A Ph.D. or advanced degree in a related engineering or architecture field is required. Expertise in heat transfer and energy analysis. Experience with quantitative simulation tools using Matlab, R, Python; more specifically, TRNSYS, EES, or Comsol would be useful. Knowledge of grid power systems preferred.The appointment will be for one year.
