JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to recruit, train and maintain the large volunteer corps of the Agency and coordinate all associated activities relating to the volunteer program.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
?Bachelors degree in human services, communications, public administration or related field and three years experience, preferably in volunteer work. Professional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
?Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly relating to diverse populations.
?Must be proficient in public speaking and presentation making
?Must demonstrate competency and knowledge of digital media usage, working with the media and/or public relations.
?Computer experience including word processing, data entry, power point presentations and spread sheets, social media
?Computer skills including: Windows 10; Microsoft Word; Excel; Outlook; PowerPoint; Child Plus; Constant Contact
?Effective teamwork and group facilitation techniques
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Plan and formulate procedures concerning recruitment, intake/orientation, placement, retention and recognition of volunteers.
2.Develop all administrative procedures associated with volunteer program.
3.Coordinates all volunteer activities at the five EHS centers; community outreach activities/events; and in main office that include, but not be limited to:
•FSU/FAMU/TCC/NFCC and other student volunteer groups
4.Assists the CE team in making regular digital media postings of volunteer activities.
5.Coordinates ongoing volunteer program including management of schedules, placement, evaluation and ongoing training/technical assistance as needed.
6.Manages the Elder Care Services / Foster Grandparent contract and coordinates all ensuing program activities.
7.Responsible for volunteer retention activities, including newsletter articles and appreciation activities.
8.Works cohesively and in conjunction with Community Outreach Coordinator in planning, development and implementation of Agency special events.
9.Responsible for monitoring the volunteer hours in data system, ensuring accuracy of records.
10.Responsible for Home-based volunteer data entry.
11.Responsible for coordinating and maintaining data and records associated with volunteers for generating non-federal share for Early Head Start.
12.Completing and submission of annual applications for Community Human Services Partnership, United Way Campaigns.
13.Responsible for the collection and coordination of the Management by Information, Management by Information Plus, and Management by Outcomes reports.
•Using Donor Perfect data system for data collection
14.Represents the agency at Volunteer Administrator meetings and other volunteer meetings.
15.Performs other related duties as requested.
