Job Summary:

A KaBOOM! Account Manager manages and grows KaBOOM! partnerships with a variety of corporate and foundation sponsors who support our work to ensure all children get the play they need to thrive. The Account Manager is a key representative of the KaBOOM! brand and culture, ensuring our partners have a playful, high quality experience with us.  Key responsibilities include working with sponsors to define the scope and scale of their respective programs, leveraging partnerships to increase internal and external visibility for KaBOOM!, our partners and the cause of play, managing and resolving conflicts as needed, serving as a partnership spokesperson, renewing partnerships and securing incremental investments and acting as a liaison between Funding Partners, Community Partners and KaBOOM! internal teams to ensure expectations of all partners are managed and understood.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee life-cycle of sponsor relationship with KaBOOM!: introduction, engagement, contract execution, and partnership renewal
  • Serve as the official partnership team leader for sponsor programs, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure timely execution of contract requirements
  • Expand and deepen relationships within each sponsor, with specific focus on building greater executive engagement and awareness, and prospecting new funding sources
  • Work with internal and external communications teams to develop strategic marketing and communications plans for partners and partnerships, raising visibility of the partnership via social media, web and newsletter storytelling, media, and award recognition
  • Help create partnerships between sponsors and community organizations for community-led playground projects


  • 5+ years of experience with a non-profit organization or corporate foundation in account management, communications, donor management or fundraising
  • Demonstrated track record of success cultivating client relationships, managing budgets and contracts, and problem solving
  • The ideal candidate is gregarious, confident, creative, playful, quick on their feet and skilled at communicating clearly and effectively in writing, in person and by phone
  • Strong interest in issues surrounding the quality of kids' live, particularly those living in underserved communities

$55-75k, commensurate with experience
