Job Description

At ActBlue, we build and run a powerful, modern online fundraising platform for Democratic campaigns, progressive organizations, and nonprofits working to create a better future. We’re a nonprofit organization ourselves, and we work to make it really easy for these groups to run grassroots fundraising programs. The result? We're putting power back in the hands of small-dollar donors.

Since 2004, campaigns and organizations across the country have raised almost $2 billion using our tools, with an average contribution size of $30 right now. Thousands of groups from presidential candidates to environmental organizations to local school board members count on our fundraising tools to fuel their organizing work.

We’re a small (but growing!) team that has a big impact on the future of our country. Each and every one of us is fully committed to our mission and we are looking for new team members who match our passion and are ready to dive in!

At ActBlue we strive to support work that strengthens the voices of those standing up for progressive values.  To that end, our Partnerships team is dedicated to building relationships with other progressive organizations and practitioners.  This is more important than ever, as more people become politically engaged, run for office for the first time, and work to impact the future of our country.  Our team works with any number of organizations, projects, budgets, and internal teams at any given time.  The Partnerships Coordinator at ActBlue will play a critical role in keeping our team organized, in good communication with each other and outside parties, and on track for success.

  • Coordinate with multiple departments within ActBlue in order make sure that everyone is in the right place at the right time with plenty of preparation for events.
  • Track all communication with outside partnerships in order to help us cultivate these relationships and manage priorities.
  • Manage communication within the team to make sure that we are all in the loop and moving forward with projects whether we are in the office or traveling for events.
  • Build and maintain tracking systems for all Partnerships activities including our various budgets, sponsorships, events, and trainings.
  • Keep us all on top of deadlines and maintain a bird’s eye view of all current projects as well as what’s on the horizon.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Partnerships team as a whole.

  • A master tracker: Our team works on a wide variety of projects, some recurring and some not.  We also manage several budgets that allow us to cultivate our partnerships and sponsor events.  We need someone who is able to design their own systems to track every detail of what’s going on in our world in order to keep us moving forward.
  • A great communicator: We work with so many different groups both inside and outside of ActBlue.  These relationships depend on quality communication.  Our coordinator will be responsible for making sure that everyone is communicating effectively and that all necessary information is shared in a timely and complete manner.
  • Anticipator-in-chief: You should always be thinking about the big picture and what’s around the corner even as you tackle the project in front of you.
  • A facilitator: Often the work that we do in Partnerships is behind the scenes to set others up for success.  Their success is our success!
  • Comfortable going solo: While you’ll be working in a larger team, most of your day to day work will be independently driven and managed.
  • Highly detailed: You proofread, reread, and triple check your work.  You understand that details play a large role in setting a project up for success.
  • Flexible: You’re adaptable and able to handle a wide range of projects, which will often have competing priorities.  You also know how to pivot at a moment’s notice without dropping the ball on existing work.
  • Mission-driven: Our online fundraising technology makes it easy for more supporters to participate in the political process every day. We need people who are passionate about furthering this work and providing the best service to every campaign and organization that we work with.
