The Department of the History of Art and Architecture at the University of California, Santa Barbara, invites applications for temporary, part-time lecturer position(s) for the 2017-18 academic year. Courses needed may include two courses from the following:
- Early Chinese Art
- Chinese Painting
- Art and Modern China
- Art of the Chinese Landscape
- The Arts of Japan
- Japanese Painting
- Ukiyo-e: Pictures of the Floating World
The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching and services as appropriate to the position..

Basic qualifications: An MA in The History of Art/Architecture or a related field, and more than one year of teaching experience.
Preferred qualifications: A PhD in The History of Art and Architecture or a related field is desirable.
